Why all marketers need to harp on about OKRs

I’ve been quite fortunate that my previous marketing roles have had clear goals that we knew we needed to hit.
Whether it was a formal OKR structure or a simple marketing goal, we knew what success looked like.
But I’ve always worked with large corporates and listed companies where every dollar is tracked.
Smaller companies with one-person-band marketers may not be so lucky.
So I’m encouraging all marketers out there, whether in large or small teams, or manning the ship solo, to make sure you’re clear on what success looks like for your business.
Why?
- You’re gonna need it to look good.
- You’re gonna need it when you have to justify your marketing tactics and spend.
- You’re gonna need it if you care about being a good marketer…
